Hi - this article was very interesting. In particular the

paragraph at the end which states:

" The hippocampus was dysfunctional in patients with fibromyalgia, as

shown by lower NAA levels..., representing neuronal or axonal metabolic

dysfunction, " the investigators conclude. " As the

hippocampus plays crucial roles in maintenance of cognitive functions,

sleep regulation, and pain perception, we suggest that metabolic

dysfunction of hippocampus may be implicated in the appearance of these

symptoms associated with this puzzling syndrome. "

Seems to me this is a HUGE step forward in understanding and possibly

coming up with better treatments for FMS ............Doreen :)

That article was VERY interesting. I had to google hippocampus to

reccolect where it was in the brain.

These researchers may be on the right track. I do hope they figure

fibromyalgia out soon, Doreen.
