we have another thing in commom!!!i sent out an email yest to the group asking

about the stinging sensation and itching joints.  i was wondering if it was meds

or ra.  paris

Yes! And especially in my hands and arms. I've wondered if anyone

else had this. My skin in those areas is also very thin....bleeds and

bruises easily.

Yes! This usually preceeds (for me anyway) a flare in the joints that

itch. Fingers, wrists, toes, feet, and ankles. I also get hives in

addition to the itching and redness. I use benydril cream to help with

the intense itching. I've mentioned this to the doctor loads of times,

he didn't say anything about, except it is just something my RA does. I

figure I am allergic to myself.

I have the itching and burning before a flar up as well, especially

my elbows, wrists and neck. My doctor tells me to take benadryl. I

also get hives but as far as I can tell they have no connection to my

flare ups. My doctor doesn't seem concerned.
