Hi All -

I hope you don't mind the cross posting or connecting the DPGs for that.We, in

NYState, are trying to get the licensure done this year.We are trying to reach

out to as many RDs as possible, ADA members and non.So, if you are a New Yorker

or know a New Yorker, please consider attending the event on the 26th or forward

the info/post it to the DPG members.

Countdown to Licensure!

The NYSDA membership goal is to obtain licensure in NYS in 2012! We need every

RD and DTR to step up and take action today! We can only obtain this goal with

your support and leadership!

This month GNYDA is kicking off the campaign to obtain Licensure in 2012. The

Association will be hosting three kickoff events (one in the Bronx, Manhattan

and Queens). These will be fun, networking events where you will learn how to

make legislative visits and meet fellow RDs/DTRs to accompany you on a visit.

Countdown to Licensure Kickoff Events:

Ann Darcy MS,RD,CDN, State Policy Representative for New York State Dietetic

Association will present a licensure update and advocacy plan for members to be

clear on the message they will deliver to the legislators.

Manhattan:

Thursday January 26th 6:30pm

Bring Friends & Win!

We encourage you to bring colleagues and friends. The person who brings the

most RDs and/or DTRs to one of the events will win free entrance to one GNYDA

CPEU event of their choice. There will be one winner for each borough kickoff

event (three total). Non-members of GNYDA are welcome and are eligible to win.

At the event, each attendee will be asked who invited them to attend. Be sure to

tell your friends to put your name down so you can win!
