Guest guest
I'm just curious if anyone has taken Azulifidine? I've just started it and feel nauseas and have hot flashes. Is this soemthing that should go away? I'd never heard of it before I was prescribed it. Let me know if anyone else has taken it or heard of it. Guest guest
I take that and the nausea is a constant though it abates some with time. I take half a Phenergan just to keep taking the Azulfidine. So far it is working for me though. Never had the hot flashes with it though. Guest guest
I think this is Sulfasalazine.... I will check.... if so then, YES! This drug made me so sick, along with hydroxychloriquin, that I had to go off it. It wasn't helping me, anyway, so I was switched to mtx (I was on that with these drugs anyway) and Enbrel. Nausea was just one of many side effects I was on. But, that said, it may taper down for you. I think with all drugs there are side effects, and with time they tone down. Definitely, talk to your doctor about this. Good luck, I hope you feel better! > > I'm just curious if anyone has taken Azulifidine? I've just started it > and feel nauseas and have hot flashes. Guest guest
Hi Joanna I'm on it for the third time now (along with mtx). When I first take it, it makes me a bit nauseous but that wears off for me. Its one of the reasons you initially build up the dose slowly, over 4 weeks. Hang in there and make sure you're taking it with a meal in NZ
Guest guest
I've started sulfasazine fairly recently & I think it is just starting to have some effect on the RA but it's hard to tell because the prednisone has been working so well. I haven't really had problems with nausea just a few days here & there. I get some stomach pains but that's probably because I've exceeded by lactose tolerance for the day & recently I've been getting pain on my right side & back. I get hot flashes now & then too & it may be affecting my cycle. Overall though if I can maintain my current level of mobility & pain levels l'm happy to put up with the side effects. cheers, Sharon of OZ > > I'm just curious if anyone has taken Azulifidine?
