Guest guest
, Decreased C3 and C4 would be a more typical finding in active lupus. Also, it would be highly unusual for a person to have psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus. http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/complement_levels/test.html http://www.lupus.org/webmodules/webarticlesnet/templates/new_aboutdiagnosis.aspx\ ?a=364 & z=15 & page=4 Not an MD On Wed, May 21, 2008 at 5:43 PM, savannahhipchick <lfriedman5@...> wrote: > Hi gang, > > I had a call yesterday from the nurse at my nephrologists office. Guest guest
Thanks , My rheummy said the same today about the c3 c4. The biopsy will be my answer I guess but it seems pretty suspicious that my kisneys suddenly started bleeding almost the same month that I developed my first serious flare. > > Hi gang, > > > > I had a call yesterday from the nurse at my nephrologists office. Guest guest
, I'm sorry you have to have a biopsy find out what's going on. Is it correct to assume that you could see the blood? Guest guest
, No, it was found at a rheummy visit years ago. I had noticed edema and my body would pick up an imprint of anything next to it. The rheummy thought I had my period and when I said no he didn't even suggest seeing a specialist. I went to a pharmacy and bought a urine strip test kit. There was indeed a lot of microscopic blood. Anyway, I dragged myself to a urologist and he did a cystoscopy and CAT scan. He said the bladder was clear and then I went to my first nephrologist. That guy ran some tsets and told me that I had chronic kidney disease and metabolic syndrome. He said my joint pain was from high lipids. What!!! I begged for a biopsy and said I was pretty sure I had connective tissue disease. He said " Drop it. If you were my resident I'd fire you. " , can you believe the arrogance of that man? Now now in fact I was correct and have suffered needlessly, lost two hips, lost ROM in both knees. Grrr....if this biopsy does show the nephritis is from RA I'll be telling him a thing or two. Guest guest
Sorry that you had such a bad experience with that nephrologist, . I CAN believe it. Even if he didn't agree with you, what he said was entirely uncalled for. Keep us posted, please. Not an MD > [ ] Re: call from nephrologist > > , > > No, it was found at a rheummy visit years ago.
