Methotrexate side effects!

Okay everyone,

I take 7.5 mg of methotrexate once a week, and have been for two weeks

now. For some reason, it wipes me out for a couple of days. I'm tired and

COLD, so cold that even air hitting my skin when I walk chills me badly.

What's going on? Is it the mtx?

Also, I was told that plaquinil does not have any therapeutic effects

for a couple of months, but I swear it worked in a couple of days for me. Is

that weird, or normal? I know it worked because the pain in my hands was

severe, and when I took the plaquinil, four days later the pain lessened

considerably. Then, my rheumatologist put me on methotrexate and said to not

take

the plaquinil. Well, after a few days, my hands and wrists were in incredible

pain, so I started the plaquinil again - three days later the pain subsided.

In short, plaquinil must have a quicker therapeutic effect, right? What

does everyone else think? Also, is it normal to be wiped out and cold after

taking MTX, and will this go away?
