As you probably know, dietitians were not included as providers for a new

Medicare Benefit, Intensive Behavioral Therapy for Obesity. Please consider

signing the petition. We have over 24,000 signatures, but need 25,000 by

January 7 to have CMS review their decision.

Thanks for your support,

Consider signing ADA's petition to the White House which requests a review of

registered dietitians role and coverage in obesity treatment. 25,000 signatures

are required: http://wh.gov/DWX.

Here's How to Do It:

If you have signed a petition on the WhiteHouse.gov site before, then sign in.

If you have never signed a petition on the WhiteHouse.gov site before, you must

create a new account:

Click on Create an Account

Fill out the form. First name, last name, and email address are required.

In the large white box there will be two words. Type these two words (with a

space between the words) in the box just below where they appear. This is to

prevent spam and is a required part of the registration process.

Click on register

You will receive an email in a few minutes. You must click on the link in that

email to continue.

Once you click on the link (or paste it in your browser) then you can click on

Sign This Petition.

You will see a confirmation message on the screen and will see that the total

number of signatures on the petition increased by one.
