I don't have any answers but I do know where you are coming from. My

daughter and grand-daughter both already fear that they will have it.

I have tried to tell them that is not always the case, but they aren't

listening, again (sigh).

Hi ,

My name is and I have two teenage children.  They are worried about

getting the RA also.

The only thing I could tell them was that if they did get it, hopefully it would

be later in life when they could

possibly have better ways to treat the disease.  It wasn't much reassurance, but

it was all I could think of at

the time.  Does anyone know a better answer?  The one I gave my kids sounded

like a cop out to me.  I think

they deserve better.  Thanks! Good luck in your treatment .

was told that my daughters would be fine because it's a blood disorder

Hi Melynda,

Thank you for the support!  It's really nice to know that I'm not alone in my

battle against this disease.

Both of my kids are very healthy so I have hopes they won't have to suffer with

this.  I'm trying not to worry about them developing

the disease, but it's hard.  I try to down play my symptoms so they won't worry

so much, but sometimes the

pain is too much to handle.  I try to give all my worries to Jesus also, but

again, it's really hard.  So I just pray a lot and hope He

understands.

Soft Hugs,
