Shirley, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that everything

turns out okay. I've had a couple of biopsies, and I know how much I

worried beforehand. Good luck!

Sue,

Thank you. I really appreciate your prayers and thoughts. Won't it be

nice to get my feelings confirmed!

Shirley,

You have been and will be in my thoughts. I truly hope that everything

will be all right.

I too have had a biopsie and know the worry that goes along with one.

Sorry it has been awhile before answering your email but wanted you to know that

I could possibly be having the same pain behind my left breast. My GP said she

believed it might be RA in my rib joints. All I know is when the pain gets bad

if I take a Naproxen it does help with the discomfort. The problem with taking

the Naproxen it's playing hell with my stomach, the Prilosec I take each morning

just isn't cutting it. Besides the Naproxen is only masking the underlying

problem, what ever that is. It would be nice to know what it is for sure, RA in

the ribs or......?

I suppose I need to go back and see my GP about this because it getting worse or

see my Rheumatologist about it. I have an appointment with both the last of Sept

but think it should be sooner.

The last time we talked about it she (my GP) did a EKC and it was fine. But when

that pain starts up it sure feels like a heart problem with the pain radiating

into my left breast which feels very much like heat but not hot/warm to the

touch.

Shirley, yes I'm very interested in how things go for you. But not only for

myself, for you as well hon.

Only good thoughs hon, only good thoughs. (gentle hugs)

Hi Shirley - my thoughts and prayers are with you as well. I pray all

comes out well with the biopsy. I am headed in this morning to have a

repeat ultrasound done on both breasts. In April they discovered

enlarged lymph nodes on both breasts. But, no matter the outcome, they

have made so many positive advances with breast cancer. Early

intervention is the key!.........Doreen :)

Doreen, Judy and group,

Thank you SO much for your prayers and concerns. I had the biopsy

today. The surgeon was concerned about the way it looked but when he

put the needle in....fluid ran out! He feels good now and thinks it

is a cyst but did do the biopsy. He will call in a few days with the

results he wants another mammogram in 4 months to watch it.

Judy, I see the cardiologist Wednesday. I will certainly let you

know what he thinks the boobie-burn is. My GP said if he dosen't

find anything, she wants to check me for a bactrial infection since

I have had acid reflux for so many years. I think my esophagus needs

to be streched again since I am having food back up almost everyday

now.

I hope everyone has a less painful and peacful evening,

Judy,

I have a name for boobie-burn, it is actually angina. I had another

EKG and a nuclear stress test. Both showed problems. I chose the

cardiologist that was my mother's and I am so glad that I did. It

has been 8 1/2 years and he remembered me. He gave me a warm

welcoming hug and stood and held my hand for a long time. He wanted

to do a heart cath tomorrow, but it is impossible for me to do it

before next Wed., so that will be the day. He said that I do have

heart disease and if he needs to put in a couple of stints he will

do in while he is in there. Between now and then, if the burn last

an hour he wants me to call him.

I guess I will have to cancel my appt with my rheummy next week and

my Enbrel will have to wait, AGAIN. I haven't gotten my biopsy

report yet, but I am sure that it is benign. No news is good news.

I hope you find out what is causing your burning soon. I know it

greatly concerns you. I always thought that heart would be real pain

and nothing like what I have been feeling.

I pray you and all of the group has a good less painful evening.

Tawny,

Thank you Sweetie.

I don't feel any worse than normal, so that's a good thing. Actually

I am not in pain, it just feels like heartburn. I would have never

thought that anything was wrong with my heart.

I do appreciate your prayers. I have two girls here that depend on

me so I know they appreciate them also.

I hope today is a gentle day for you,

Shirley;

Oh my goodness hon, you're having a time of it. (gentle hugs)

Angina, isn't that what they give those little nitro pills for?

That's pretty cool that the cardiologist remembered you from the time he had

with your mother and spent time with you as a person and not simply a number on

a chart. ~smile~

So if you have this burn for more then an hour you're to call the Dr. back.

If I may ask, how long at a time were/are you having this discomfort?

I feel for you hon that you must once again stop your Enbrel.

I go with that no news is good news too hon but I do understand that knowing the

outcome of benign will ease your mind.

I too have always thought a problem with the heart would more or less stand up

and shout not just feel like a burning sensation..... hmmmm? Learn something new

each day.

I've had this discomfort for about 2 weeks (this time, yes it comes and goes

much like a flare) and if it is RA of the ribs like my GP said back in March I

would think there would be more discomfort each time I breath. ~shrugs~ Oh well,

I suppose I'll try to call the Dr sometime next week after the holiday for an

appointment.

My thoughts have been with you these past days, more so then not.

I know you have a full plate now and I thank you for answering my email. ~smile~

Hang in there hon. (gentle hug)

Tawny,

Thanks, Sweetie.

I just got my biopsy report BENIGN! I knew it would be but so nice

to have it confirmed. I already have an appt for another mammo in 3

mos. and then I see the surgeon again a week after that. By the end

of the year I will be able to do my own mammograms, this will be the

5th one this year.

Bless you,

BENIGN! wonderful word, so happy to hear that from you. I know what

you mean about the mammograms, I'm now on a six-month schedule, then

see the surgeon after each one for a check-up. Not fun, but

important.

I do hope the cardio doc finds and takes care of that angina. Don't

you just love docs like that, who see you as a real person? You'll be

in my prayers but I have a really good feeling for you, this will all

work out.

Judy,

I love the support of this group, so I figure it is my place to

respond if I can. Sorry to say, sometimes I miss something and then

feel bad about it.

I already posted this but my report is benign. I really wasn't

worried. I knew that what ever God had a plan.

About the burn, I am not sure how long it has lasted in the past. I

didn't know to time it! I am trying to keep track of it now. Seems

though about 15 mins at a time is the longest so far. When it stops

I just forget how long it was. It happens over and over everyday no

matter what I am doing.

I guess the Enbrel will be even sweeter when I FINALLY get to take

it. Right at the moment the RA isn't hurting too bad. I think my

mind is preoccupied timing the burn. LOL

Please keep a track of the burning in you chest. Mine has radiated

to my back a few times. A lady at work today told me that most women

who have heart attacks thought that it was just heartburn.

I will always try to answer you back. If I ever miss a post, feel

free to email me.

Hoping for good days for you, Hon.

Shirley, that is such a relief! I've had two biopsies, one benign, and

one not. Benign certainly is the best answer.

Sue,

Oh, Sweetie, I hate it for you. How long ago? Recent? My heart goes

out to you. I have a friend that lost one breast to cancer she has

had a real struggle accepting it. My aunt had both removed but she

handled it much better. My mother-inlaw was mentally dying from it

for 28 years and it never reoccured.

Please, please, please keep a vigilant watch and I pray that you

have seen the only monster of that kind in your life already.

Thank you for you kind and sweet post.

Woo Hoo Shirley!!! BENIGN is wonderfully good news!! I had to have a

repeat bilateral ultrasound this past Monday because of some enlarged

lymph nodes they picked up on in April. I go back to the doctor on the

3rd (next week) to see if there have been any changes. I hope to come

away with a BENIGN diagnosis as well.........Doreen :)
