Guest guest
I have to jump in here. I have seen Journey, the " real " Journey with Steve , so many times, I'm aging myself. Without him, I can't make myself like them. LOL. I went to see them at Mohegan Sun with the other Steve in 2004 and although they have the same sound, YUK. I heard the new song on the radio the other day with the new new guy, and yes he does sound like SP, but still, I just can't give in!!! LOL. I even saw SP on his solo tour in Boston. Ok I'm done now. I do like my trip back to the 80s , thanks! Heidi in Mass....how about this..Go Sox! Go Pats! LOL, ok don't yell at me....I'll behave now...maybe...just a way to take our minds off of what ails us. Guest guest
Oh yeah...no one can even begin to replace SP. The guy sounds just like him but open up your eyes and its not our Steve!! Waaa...... Journey..what a great group. How nice that you were able to see them in person.... We're from the Cleveland Oh area and my dad loved his Sox...he died in 2001 at the age of 81 but I'm sure he enjoyed their reign from heaven. Matter of fact, gave them the extra push to help them win their World Series. Okay......but you can stop now.. Us Cleveland indians fans (and Browns) need to win now..lol Hugs..paula Ohio I have to jump in here. I have seen Journey, the " real " Journey with Steve , so many times, I'm aging myself. Guest guest
I had just turned 17 and had a brand new driver's license. Funny story..I am on Long Island, NY. I had never driven anywhere but around town on my own. A friend was with me and we were heading up towards White Lake, the festival area. We are driving along and all of a sudden, we see a sign: " Welcome to Connecticut " We both look at each other and just cracked up! We turned around and, fortunately, picked up a hitchhiker who was from the area around the festival. The NY State Thruway was shut down and there were cars everywhere. He took us through some back roads and got us within walking distance of the festival. We probably would have never made it there at all without him. I remember sleeping in the car that night (no RA back then!!) and waking the next morning early to the sound of Grace Slick singing with Jefferson Airplane. It was amazing. Oh...to be young :-) _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of CLORA Sent: Saturday, August 30, 2008 8:16 AM Subject: [ ] Re: OT - Journey Dorthy and group; OMG, NO WAY HAAAAAAAAAA. Guest guest
OK, GIRLS, enough! I graduated from college and was married in June 1969; by August I had no time to think about rock concerts, I was getting ready to put my new hubby through graduate school . . . it's bad enough looking the big 60 in the face in November without all these reminders that I'm not as young as I used to be! :>) South Pasadena, CA / Lilydale, MN You can see my galleries at http://www.pbase.com/arenared986 M.
