Guest guest
That is a very good article and points out the fact that no one has once said that Pizza is counted as a veggie or even pizza sauce, just tomato paste, which is contained in pizza sauce, as well as spaghetti sauce, and marinara sauce. However the focus has hit pizza and stopped there. This is not a new issue, this controversy has been going on ever since I can remember with both tomato's and tomato derivatives. Its not just this administration, this one is just getting hit harder because for once we have a first lady who is active in trying to help get nutritional information out there and promote health for our kids. Lets give her credit for that rather than just blaming her for a controversy that has been around since I was a kid. Guest guest
A-ha-ha!! Jan, I guess there's always something lost in translation when I'm involved. In Spanish we use the word " condimentos " to indicate " seasonings " , so I assumed the original request referred to herbs and spices. I don't have nor did I develop a condiments in the English language meaning of any type. And as you know, I agree with all your comments, below. Again you lift my spirit and improve my mood even at the end of a marginally productive (as judged by my numbers) but incredibly busy and beneficial (for the residents I managed and nurses I worked with) day. Guest guest
First, tomato is technically a fruit, not a veggie. Second, the First Lady, nor any other part of the President's administration, nor the Federal government for that matter, should have anything to do with school lunch policies. Guest guest
Did you clock your time? Goodness, if we don’t stick together even with opposing views, we really are done for now… No hope for our future. We’re sleeping with the enemy, the enemy is us. Everyone has to stop being bitchy to each other. Jan was not and her apology was well intended and should be accepted. Truthfully, it’s like, who cares? Why are we arguing over tomato sauce vs ketchup vs a fresh tomato at this point when there are so many really crucial issues not only to our country’s future, but to the world’s? Get off the political blame. After all, who votes for all these “winners and who’s actually simple enough to believe the words their publicists puts in front of them? Ladies, GROW UP!
Why are we arguing over tomato sauce vs ketchup vs a fresh tomato at this point when there are so many really crucial issues not only to our country’s future, but to the world’s?
