I have something to say on this topic and some or most may disagree. I am a beer

drinker. I have been for years. That is what we do, we get together, cook out

and drink beer. I drink probably 4 days out of the week. I feel worse, hurt more

and I am more stiff the days after not drinking. I have been in bed 2 days this

week and had to go and get a shot in my back it hurt so bad...my 21 year old

daughter looked at me last night and said. Mom you havent drank a beer all week.

I dont always feel like drinking, so there is some truth around this theory..At

first my concern was the meds and alcohol on my liver together ???? I think

drinking beer, is probably less harmful to my liver than some of my meds ?? That

is my only concern with it..

thought I would give my 2 cents...wishing all a pain free day..

My husband drank beer every night until he was diagnosed with RA.

The Dr. said he could have 1 beer a week, and for the most part he

has been very good about adhering to this. He also has his liver

checked every couple of months.

love a good coctail when I'm out to dinner. I've discussed this in

detail with my rheumy and he know and has said " off the record " that

he's comfortable with me having a coctail on the weekends. I don't

abuse it, I usually only have at max 3 a month, usually 2 but after

8 years of only 2 a year, I had had it. I take mtx and remicade and

my labs are done every other month. Just my 2 cents too, mary in pa
