Guest guest
Hi , I went thru the same thing about 2 months ago. Trying to make that decision. I chose Enbrel, the sureclick. To me, it was the lesser of all the evils. They all have side effects. I do it every week on Mondays. I am still on 8 mtx once a week on Thursdays. I *think* everything is finally kicking in. I know it took about 6 weeks for the Enbrel to work. I now have more energy days and less tired days...it's not the whole day but its truly better than it was. I still have some back issues going on with OA, Facet, as well as bursitis in my hips. Good luck with whatever decision you make. She told me just to pick one because they were all about the same and to just decide based on the delivery method and frequency that works best for me. My question is this.... Is there an overall consensus as to which are doing the best job at managing the pain and progression of the disease and also what are the side effects that you all have experienced on them versus the MTX? Guest guest
, I think you probably mean Remicade, Humira and Enbrel. Orencia is a biologic, too, but it is not a TNF inhibitor. So I am hanging out, as I know the huge difference it has made to my sister in law. Guest guest
Hi ! I'm on the Humira as well at MTX and for me it took about 2 weeks for the Humira to slowly start kicking in. I've had great results with it and haven't had any real problems regarding infections for the year that I've been on it. Guest guest
, I was on Enbrel and MTX but not getting the pain relief I hoped for. I am now on Humara and take it every other week. I have only been on it for 3 months but I can feel the difference already and I have not had the Cough and infections I got with Enbrel Heidi M On Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 9:11 AM, Stitching Queen <queenstitcher@...> wrote: > Hi ! > I'm on the Humira as well at MTX and for me it took about 2 weeks for the > Humira to slowly start kicking in. Guest guest
, when I had to choose a biologic, I chose Enbrel, partly because it's been around longer and more is known about it. I've been on it now for over five years, and it does a wonderful job of keeping the pain and inflammation at bay. The only pain I have now is from osteoarthritis. I have had no adverse side effects. I don't get sick with infections very often, either. Good luck with whatever you decide.
