Hi there,

I don't think it is that high a dose. I take 50 - 60 when I have to. I

am sure it is until

she gets some relief. I hate prednisone but it sure works with the

RA...actually sometimes

i take it for asthma and it puts my RA in remission. I only take it

periodically.....

I know it's difficult. & nbsp; Everyone's immune system is unique and different

from everyone else's. & nbsp; What works for one, won't work for another and so

on. & nbsp; It's very difficult to establish a cocktail that is specific to work

for our immune systems. & nbsp; It makes it even more difficult when you have more

than one disease or diseases that interlap. & nbsp; I know it often seems things

are not working for us, but if you have ever been on a medication that you have

to stop taking when ill that helps us (like a DMARD) I notice a huge increase in

pain. & nbsp; I look at it as medications are allowing me to live a little less

pain free of a life:) And take it one second at a time, one minute at a time

I know what you mean about taking all of these meds. I asked my

Rheumatologist about all that when he added Neurontin to my list. He

said some of his patients take 4 different meds. Not too encouraging,

but I guess that's the nature of this disease. I've had to resign

myself to the fact of " whatever works " although there are days when I

still question whether any of this is doing any good - especially when

a storm front is moving in. One day at a time HAS to be my new motto.
