Whining

I am sorry I need to whine. For all of my life I have been able to lift

as much as ae man and move furniture and work in the yard for the whole

day. The last 2 weekends I have been out there 4 hours or so, and I am

knocked on my __! I hate RA. It has robbed me of my life. My days are

full of pain, and I can't make it stop-- BUT there is only 2 weeks left

until my 1st appointment with the reumy !! What's that all about, us

new folks are out here and we are in pain, we need help, faster than 3

months just to get an appointment. The ER keeps telling me I have RA,

but then they just throw pills at me and send me away.Prednisone and

Hydrocordone. I hate Pred, it makes you gain weight, I am never-ever

full, and The Hydrocordone.... well I am a manager of a school bus

company and some days I have to drive, so I can't take it at work. So,

I take 4, 200mg of Advil, but all it does is take the edge off. My

hands are swollen, and they hurt--bad, now it's in my knees ( within

the last week, where will it stop? I have seen my sisters and mom deal

with this awful diesease, it doesn't end, it just gets worse.

I love this group, thank you for letting me vent and whine.

Dearr Tammy,

I am so sorry that you were so miserable a few days ago. I hope things

have turned around a little bit for you. It is a shame that the

doctors don't witness these things as we go thru them. I think it

would make a big difference when seeing the doctor or to save on DVD

to show them, but they would have still MORE to complain about!

Don't worry about whining, we serve that along with cheese quite ofter

when one of us needs itl You never know when it might be our turn for

Hey all,

Thank you for the support during my whining stage. My shoulder feels much

better. I just hate these flares soooooo much. I need to start weaning off of

the prednisone from 10mg to 7.5 mg. I've only been on my Arava for a week. The

dr. told me to start the weaning after one month and I was trying to jump start

it, with painful results. Guess, I'll wait a bit before trying that again.
