Guest guest
You are welcome, Jo. Oh, by the way, did you know that Thunder Bay is renaming one of its streets in honor of Shaffer (the band leader on the Dave Letterman show)? He is a native of Thunder Bay. That announcement was made on Wednesday night's show. Dolores Re: hand problems! > > > > > > > > > > Jo, what kind of problems are you having with your hands. Guest guest
Yup, me too. I noticed quite awhile ago that I didn't have the right wrist action to pour juice or milk or coffee from the pot. The inability is more pronounced when the item is heavy, like a full gallon of milk. Now I do all those things with my left hand. Guest guest
Mike, what you have said is exactly the same as what I have experienced with my hands but that was not my first symptom that showed up. Mine was dizziness ( my husband said I've always been dizzy-you know how us blondes are) and then falling backwards. I guess each of us have are own firsts...............Flora
Guest guest
I think that those of us with weakness and stiffness in our arms and shoulders is due to the way we walk especially using our walkers or canes we have a tedious to lean on them and I have a hunch that causes are problems. I think massages are good to release the achy-ness that I have developed......Flora

Guest guest
Yes I did know about Shaffer. They also had a show at the Auditorium when he was here and I heard it was excellent. Wasn't able to go though, but would like to have. Our Auditorium is quite nice and has attracted some well known talents. The street they renamed for is right at the Auditorium. It is nice that they have recognized his talents. Jo! Re: hand problems! > > > > > > > > > > > > > Jo, what kind of problems are you having with your hands. Guest guest
Flora, If I could find a good massage therapist, I'd like to give it a try. When I changed to a four wheeled walker, my neck and shoulder pains went away in about 4 days and have not returned. I believe it is the way we walk with a cane or walker that causes us some problems. I still am bent over like my maternal grandfather. Am slowly straightening up, though.
