Guest guest
Hi everyone, and I apologize for the cross-posting: A new petition is been circulated to consider a new specialty in Nutrition. While I could support a new specialty, I feel that this one would shadow our general practice and specialty as the " Food and Nutrition Experts " in the eye of the public. Yet, the group requesting for the specialty has a valid reason for asking to be recognized as the specialists in Alternative and Complimentary Nutrition. I could support that, but not the " Integrative and Functional Medicine " part of it - A part I believe we are all required to practice under the RD accreditation. I already submitted my opinion to AND (see email in the attached memo as well as the link for the petition).Regardless of your support of my opinion- I strongly suggest you look into this and send your input to AND.Also - please forward it to as many RDs as possible so we could have max exposure and input. Thanks in advance.
