Guest guest
Bob, You gave a really good description of the wonders of prednisone. I am sorry that you are feeling so badly again. I knew something had drastically changed in my body when the Celebrex stopped helping my arthritis. I didn't know about the RA then. I am glad that your wait is almost up to see the rheummy. What a blessing just to get in. Let us know how it goes. Thank goodness it is Friday, I hope you have the weekend off! I wish you a Happy Birthday and a better week. Guest guest
Shirley, Thanks so much. I'm really dragging today. The fatigue is incredible. I could put my head down on my desk and go to sleep if I could get my neck to agree. LOL! I've certainly had better birthdays but I guess when you consider the alternative to birthdays I guess this isn't so bad. Thanks again. Guest guest
Hi Bob, Happy B-day! Mine was the 4th. I am happy to have made it to 42 without any joint replacements yet. LOL. You learn to look at things differently I guess once you have the RA. I remember those days of wanting to sleep at my desk. I cried a lot at work until the doctor made me get done and apply for disability. That was the best thing I ever did as far as this disease goes and yes I did get my disability and am now happily on Medicare. So, things could always be worse they say right? Hope you had a good birthday! Tracie
Guest guest
Happy belated birthday Bob! Sorry your feeling so bad, we all know how you feel. I always have Prednisone, my doc makes sure of it. When I go into a horrible flare, it gets me going. It is an amazing drug for those times. You might need to try another anti-inflammatory med. I'm glad you will be able to visit your rheumy soon. The disease is devastating, there are no other words to describe what it can do. Just know were always here for you, Tawny > > Bob, > You gave a really good description of the wonders of prednisone. > I am sorry that you are feeling so badly again. Guest guest
Tawny Thanks so much for your good wishes and words of support. I'm just taking it a day at a time. At times I actually feel blessed because I know my case isn't as bad as it could be or as bad as how some of you have suffered for so many years. While I'm new to RA, pain and I are no strangers. After suffering a broken back when I was younger and then from the after affects of a couple botched surgeries on my feet, I've learned to live with pain. I guess compounded with the birthday and realizing I'm in my 60th year (I still find that hard to believe) I just didn't want to believe the new pains and stiffness wasn't just me getting old. It may sound crazy but the advent of having RA is now giving me some hope that things could get better with the right treatment versus just being told " you're getting old " and there's nothing we can do for you. Crazy, huh? All in all, today was a better day. Not great, but better. Thanks. Bob > > Happy belated birthday Bob! > > Sorry your feeling so bad, we all know how you feel. Guest guest
Bob, Glad to hear your feeling a little better. With the right med for you, things will be looking up for you. Sometimes, it takes awhile to find the right one for you. So, just be patient, things will get better. Have a great day, Tawny > > Tawny > Thanks so much for your good wishes and words of support.
