Call for Nominations for HIV Positive Women and Men for Scientific

Programme Committee, International AIDS Conference, AIDS 2008, Mexico

This is a call for nominations for HIV positive women and men for track members

comprising the Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) for the International AIDS

Conference to be held in Mexico City in August 2008 (AIDS2008). There will be 5

Tracks:

* Track A is Biology and Pathogenesis of HIV;

* Track B is Clinical Research, Treatment and Care;

* Track C is Epidemiology, Prevention and Prevention Research;

* Track D is Social, Economic and Behavioral Sciences; and

* Track E is Policy.

All track members need to speak, read and write English and must have

access to email. There will be extensive communication via email.

Each track will have a committee comprising, beside the two track

co-chairpersons, of 10 members nominated by the SPC, LPC CPC and the

CCC. The six programme committee co-chairs will undertake the final

selection of track committee members to ensure balance and overall

composition.

Attached is the timeline, roles and responsibilities and an excel sheet , Track

Committee form. The form must be filled out for nomination to the science

program committee tracks. Please also tell us your age. I encourage interested

positive women and men to send applications to me and we will forward

nominations to the conference contacts.

To be considered you can have someone nominate you or nominate yourself along

with completing the excel form (attached) letter and resume by email your name

and contact information to Philippa Lawson,

plawson@... . The deadline is Tuesday, April 17, 2007.
