shaking infant formula

I have never heard not to shake formula, but that advice in the magazine may

have come from the recommendation not to shake breastmilk- there is some

evidence that the living components in breastmilk may be destroyed by

shaking-

I couldn't find anything current with a quick search, but here's an

Also, my brand new edition of " Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple " by

Mohrbacher, IBCLC extaordinaire, says that breastmilk should be gently

swirled.
