Guest guest
we have a mental health care system that has gov't grants for such purpose. It's not available to private practice counselors/therapists, but is available to the more public systems. I would call around, get a referal from public health, for a sliding scale or free clinic. > > Hi, all. > > I need to know if anyone can tell me if a mentally ill person with RA > can find free help sorting through the system. > > I have RA and I have mental disorders which make it difficult for me > to find a good doctor, get health coverage, etc. > > Is there an organization that helps people who can't even manage a > checkbook to find the things necessary to attain good health? > > Thanks. > > Love from >
Guest guest
, I would check with your local county's health and services department. I just looked into this a few weeks ago. You can possibly qualify for medicaid because of your mental health disorders (I don't qualify because I can manage my medications and appointments). It would be part of Long Term Care and someone would come to your house and assess your situation to see if you qualify. It's through the state, so I don't know how long you would have to wait. I would check there. I was also able to get from them a list of local organizations so you can get your medications, see doctors etc. Best of luck to you. > > Thanks. > > Love from >
