Guest guest
Yes, indeed, my prayers are with all of you in the path of this hurricane. I have so many people in the path of this one! An internet friend in Turks and Caicos whose island was pretty much spared, and an outreach program from our church to Haiti - haven't heard how they fared. Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers also, they have so little that a storm like this can really be devestating. Guest guest
Yes, please keep all of us folks in Texas in your prayers. I work for a city in a coastal Texas county and just heard that the forecast is changing, bringing the storm closer to us. Our home is boarded up and we are planning to " hunker down " because my health (and my husband's as well) is such that evacuating is just too much stress on us. (We got caught in the Rita evacuation in 2005 and were stuck in traffic for over 13 hours!) in Texas > I know a lot of our RA family our from TX. Guest guest
, I am with you Hon about Haiti. I worry about those citizens so much. Every since I read about them having to eat " Mud Cookies " because the dirt was cheaper than rice and beans, I have been praying for them and sending a little money. It's not much but I think any amount is a lot more than what they have now. Guest guest
Debbie, I have been to Round Rock several times, mostly to Walmart. We spent last Thanksgiving in Leander. It's such a beatiful area, I love the sunsets. Guest guest
Melynda, I am monitoring the news closely. I will keep you, family, and everyone in the path of the hurricane in my prayers. You keep us posted, if your able. They have a nice shelter in OKC, they are ready to help out. I have a friend that is helping with it. I wish, that I could be there to volunteer, but my thoughts are with you all. Guest guest
Hi Shirley, That's cool that you have been visiting Walmart here. It is a very pretty area here except for that stupid toll road. Where in Texas do you live then? Guest guest
Debbie, I am just an ole Georgia gal, but I have loved Texas all of my life. I almost moved to Leander, where my best friend lives, but RA made the odds of finding a good job nearly impossible. I decided to stay here with my family. With all of the health issues this year, I know that I made the right decision. My heart will always be there though and I still plan to visit when I can.
