Guest guest
Hello everyone. Read this so supportive group's entries with admiration.(Am retired doc in UK,and read on behalf of friend who has RA, uncontrolled, and no computer.) It appears to me as a concerned bystander that many of you who are suffering most(including my friend) have strong features of the ill understood fibromyalgia syndrome as well.Sadly this seems to often baffle some doctors, so I was very interested to read (and take part in) a CME (continuing medical education update) available for doctors and other health care providers on Medscape. The title is Fibromyalgia:A label for chronic widespread pain (release date May 29,2008) and runs to 14 pages, which I thought very well presented. If more docs went through it I think they would have more sympathy/understanding! I know may know ways of accessing this?? and also some have mentioned you are nurses.Anyway perhaps you could tactfully point your PCP towards it.LOL. Hope this helps anyway. One thing which it mentioned which seemed so true of my friend and many of your posts, is that you are more TENDER than the average,a brain/nerve thing, so of course you feel everything more! A very good way of putting it I thought, best wishes, Chris
