Guest guest
Dear All, Re: /message/7110 I do wish to express the same sentiments of our friend on the issue of Human Resource (HR) policies of Chhattisgarh SACS and State AIDS CONTROL Societies (SACS) funded by NACO in general. In Tamil Nadu, there are 1700 employees on roll are in similar situation for the past several years. In the month of Noveber, 2006 State AIDS control Society had come out with an advertisemnt in the newspaper to hire a HR company for these staff but I am afraid till this date no decision is taken up the bureaucrats. Will someone responsible read mails like these which express the sentiments of larger community?. Guest guest
Respected Forum members Re: /message/7110 We know that the Integrated Counseling and Testing Centers (ICTC) and Anti Retroviral Therapy (ART) Centers are functioning at Govt. Hospitals and Medical College Hospitals in all over India through the fund granted by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO). Here I would like to lighten up some discussion on the HR issues currently in practice by the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS). In most of the states their staffs are appointed by the State AIDS Control Societies (SACS)itself. Despite in States like Tamilnadu, SACS staffs are appointed through an Organization named South India AIDS Action Programme (SIAAP). Thousands of employees including Counselors, Lab Technicians, Pharmacists, Data Entry Operators etc., are appointed and on duty as of today. They were given a temporary appointment order stated that at any point of time the employer can remove the staff from duty without any advance notice...with stuffs like that,, These Staffs are getting a very minimum pay of Rs.6500/-Per Month as a consolidated salary. That salary is also paid very late in the every next month, some times not even in the next month. The working time of these staffs were also stretched from 8 am to 5 pm (9 hours/day). Hence most of the qualified, trained and talented staff turns out frequently and most of the existing staffs are trying to move out. Efforts on training those moved out staffs were in vain. This will definitely hamper the performance of SACS in the long run... We request NACO to assess the HR policies & job satisfaction level of all the SACS staff & suggest some solutions to this problem. This will help the SACS to retain its competent work force and facilitate the necessary environment to render better service.
