I am also allergic to Sulfa and have been taking Celebrex with no problems

since.... Hmmmm.... Well I have been taking it longer than I can remember! I

would say at LEAST 5+ years. It has helped me alot. If I miss a dose, I feel it

the next day!!!!!

Good luck!

[ ] Celebrex anyone

My doctor has asked me to try Celebrex. Anyone have any experience? I am

really surprised as I am allergic to Sulfa drugs but he says that the chances of

my having an allergic reaction are 1 in 100 and the benefits could outweigh the

risks.

I currently am on Enbrel, MTX, just started Nerontin and meds for high blood

pressure and high cholesterol.

I filled the prescription but haven't taken any of the med yet.

Hi,

I took Celebrex for many years, way before the warnings came out about Viox ?

sp? Anyway, I stopped taking because it didn't feel like it was working any

longer. many people like the relief they get from that drug. I find yoga and

water aerobics to be very helpful to relieve pain and feel stronger. This is

the best I have felt in years!

I've taken the 200mg tablets of Celebrex with some really good results. It is

easier on my stomach that the other NSAIDs.

I took Celebrex for about 4 days when I had terrible pains in my GI tract. I

stopped it immediately and was stabilized in just a couple of days. Later I

took Vioxx and within 10 days my left calf started swelling so I quit taking

it also.

My insurance company put it on their top tier, meaning that it would

cost me $50 a month. I switched to arthritis-strength Tylenol, which is

enough, since Enbrel is working so well for me.

Thank you everyone for your responses! I have decided to try the Celebrex. I

took the first one last night so I imagine it will take some time to start

working.

I do appreciate the responses!
