Guest guest
Bob, I truly understand where you are coming from with the 5yr mark. I realized several months ago that unless something changes quickly I won't make it to my mark. I want to make it until March when I will have in my 35 years. I know that it seems trivial, but I have worked so hard and surmounted so many obsticles over the years and I want that anniversary. When I passed the test and physical for the position that I have held for 20yrs, my 2nd level told me that he didn't think that I could do the job. The dumb a.. went as far as to tell me that he didn't want another female technician. I told him that I intended to go to the National Labor Relations Board if I didn't get it. In 1988 this meant $600 more a month for a single mom, I needed the money. Well I got it and for 5yrs got every crappy and physically demanding job that he could find. I wish he had been around 3yrs ago when I was awarded the President's Circle and then the Pinnacle Award, which is the highest in my company! JERK. I got the go ahead today to start Enbrel tonight. I am like Clora, it's not Humira, but it is going to be my miracle and I will get those 35yrs. I pray that your rheummy will have the same goal as you do and get you to that 5yr mark. I'm not Italian but was raised that we take care of our own. I did this with both of my parents and I am so happy that I did. I was so blessed to be able to be with them. I hope you post and let us know how your appointment went today. I know that I am not the only one waiting to know. God Bless you, Hon. It will get better. Guest guest
Clora, I am glad you found something that helped the RA. I am on the downside of a flare from mine, was a very painful week and with me having fibro and osteo too, I am used to pain. COPD would be a tough addition. I am in SC, moved here in 97. I miss lake erie so much. Cleveland Ohio has wonderful summers. The winters is what brought me to SC. Plus the fact half of my family moved here. I just wanted to comment about ohio. I got about 40 more post to read. I am red flagging all those that I need to comment on. I will go back to comment when I have read them all. I don't know what to do now that the RA pain is gone everyone. I use to just lay in bed or sit at the computer. Getting out of bed in the mornings was the most painfullest. I have started dong things around the house slowly. I put clothes in the washer. I have stacked the dishes. I also have copd. So I notice I get out of breath since I am moving around the house better. I notice I can think better now also. Whereas while the RA was in full force there was not much thoughts in my head except pain.
Guest guest
and group; Thanks , I hope a better week for you. I have osteo also. I asked my rheumy about doing something for the osteo. She said lets get the RA in check and we will work on the osteo. I have been using pain patches for the osteo which work pretty good. I wonder what is done for osteo. What does your doctor do for your osteo R? gentle hugs Clora > Clora, I am glad you found something that helped the RA. Guest guest
I take a cousin to Ibuprophen, called Nalfon. I can take it three times daily but usually remember only twice unless I am in a lot of pain. It works the best for me of anything other than Vioxx which they took off the market.
