Guest guest
Chriss and group; OH MY GOSH. What an idiot. Poor girl. For someone to say something so thoughtless is unbealivable, even if they wasnt in the medical profession. Chirss that person was an idiot to begin with. I am so sorry for your friend. Yes there is many idiots running among us. gentle kind hugs Clora > Hello,Paris, Clora, Shirley and group, > First let me say so glad you are starting your new treatments, and join in with everyone hoping they will be the ones to move you towards recovery and gain relief and ease. > Your rueful comment , Paris, about the nurse's thoughtless words, reminded me of a recent hospital visit of my friend to her rheumy clinic. It was a bad time for her and she was feeling particularly poorly.Only with a huge struggle and determination, (and a bit of persuasion) had she got there at all! I dropped her off at the entrance and went to park the car, no easy matter. > When I next saw her, she was looking even lower in mood. She explained that as she entered the patient hall, a nurse passing through from gastro clinic she used to attend regularly, probably 5 years earlier, years pre RA, blurted out in all seriousness as they both recognised each other... > ' Oh , hello, Sue! ( have altered my friend's name) I thought you were dead!!' >
Guest guest
What a horrible thing for your friend. I hope your friend is feeling better. I am terrible about saying insensitive things back to people, like, glad your not a doctor! The nurse that discharged me from the hospital Wed night opened her mouth and stupid fell out. She told me that nothing was wrong with my heart. Now, I was right there with my cardi when he did the heart cath and I know what he said. She might need a little more training. Guest guest
I can't believe the nurse said that to your friend!! I remembered when I was 7 weeks pregnant with twins and had lost both in a miscarriage. I had to go to hosp and have a D & C and all that crap....3 times I had to go thru telling hosp personell why I was there (billing, nurse and then anestia) What a horrific ordeal. Then I had to go to the ob gyn a few days later and the nurse asks me how my pregnancy is going!!!!! READ THE D*** CHART!!! I'm sure they don't mean to be insensitive but come on!!! Thanks for the additional comment about the blood vessels. Paris [ ] Partly OT...What not to say!!
