Guest guest
YOu are right. Consistent intake of Vit K is what we look for. Sometime, when people restrict Vit K too much and the intake is too low, INR will increase too! In those cases, when there is no immediate risk of bleeding - the treatment will be Vit K injection. At any case, your client is now just afraid. Many MDs are confused regarding Vit K and anti-coagulants. If she had a clot, the MD might have not monitor her INR close enough.Good luck finding Multi that does't have Vit K. I can't think of one. I do understand that as long as it's consistent, it shouldn't matter, but due to her doc's recommendations, she wants a multi that doesn't contain K. Any thoughts? Thanks so much! I see it on an older Food Medication Interactions book, but not on newer resources, although I do not have a newer FMI. > > > > > > W.
