Guest guest
Shirley (and group), Thanks so much for your responses - they mean a lot. Jeff came home today and was treating me well. (I'm so glad) We're getting along again. I ended up eating some more of the deer dish I made yesterday, but something in it gave me a slight headache. I splashed a little worcestershire sauce and parmesan cheese on it to give it more flavor. That's probably what did it. These are the kinds of symptoms I'll be looking for when I start the Elimination Diet. I haven't really started it yet, but I have been noticing what I eat and the symptoms I get afterwards. I can't wait to get some fresh fruits and vegetables and start using my juicer again, but I probably won't be able to go food shopping until next week. So I'll have to make do with what I have. I feel so much better this evening than I did this morning and afternoon. Most of the pain has dissipated, even the burning / pinching skin sensations I get frequently now. I didn't eat much of the deer dish, the flavor wasn't the greatest, so my husband offered to make me a hot dog. At first I said okay, because I'm so addicted to eating. But then when I thought of all the preservatives and stuff in there, I kept thinking about all the pain I was in this afternoon and decided to pass. I have a feeling I'm going to be losing some weight here shortly. Well, I never did take my nap this evening, I'll probably be going to bed VERY shortly, like maybe now. I don't think I'm babysitting tomorrow, I'll probably be doing more research, maybe on the Paleo Diet this time. Thanks again for your concern, Shirley, you sound like a fabulous person. PS: is usually a pretty good eater. She has been brought up on mostly wild game, fish & fowl. She's not afraid of spices, as a matter of fact, she snuck into my fridge the other night and was eating a raw vidalia and a tomato - a two-fisted eater!!!! She was actually munching on the onion!!! She's not too hot on sugar, usually, she'll take an oatmeal cookie over a chocolate chip and prefers grapes or a salad or yogurt over a cookie! She's pretty amazing, really. I call her " my little home wrecker " because she can make my living room look like a tornado went through it in less than twenty minutes. I love her deeply and she is the reason I am trying to heal myself. [ ] Re: OT drug free RA healing approach ONLY! Oh Hon, I know that you are tired. I also know about trying other things for kids. I was fortunate that my son loved yogurt. I didn't mind giving that to him at all. Try this, leave a note asking your hubby to bring you something back if he goes out for supper. Well, it could work! I sure hope you have a better night and a much better tomorrow. Shirley > > Shirley, > 's parents finally came to get her at 4:45. They decided they wanted to get a little shopping done before they came to get her. I had her help me wash dishes. She loves playing in the sink with cups while I do the dishes. > I felt bad, I didn't have much to offer her as far as treats today. Haven't been shopping for the house in a couple weeks. I did have a bottle of cherry juice that I bought her a couple weeks ago and hid in the basement. I didn't want my 21 year-old son finding it and polishing it off. When I brought it upstairs today, it said 100% TART cherry juice - OMG - I didn't notice that when I bought it. It was way too tart. She didn't want it. I tried putting a tiny bit of sugar in it, even though I don't like doing that, but it still tasted way too tart. I don't think all the sugar in the world would have made it taste acceptable to her - it was just too tart. Boy, when I bought it, it was very expensive, but I thought it would be good change for her to have a different kind of juice for a change. I just didn't notice that it said " TART " . I bought two bottles of it - I still have one in the basement. I'll have to mix it with some other juice when I get some. > I was going to say a little about my husband, but I'm way too angry at him, plus, he's due home any minute. I want to get in bed and fall asleep before he walks in. Besides, he won't fight anymore, now he'll just give me the silent treatment for days and days. After 32 years, I'm getting kinda use to it. Looks like it will be last years venison & rice for a couple more days... He'll probably go out to eat. I think I'm out of chocolate now, that's a good thing. > Still hanging in there, >
