The people at the sleep center do the testing and they turn the results over to your doctor. Your doctor has to write a prescription for your cpap machine and pressure (and masks). The cpap equipment people then legally can only do what the doctor tells them. When my cpap machine went in for repairs (which they said at the time wasn't worth fixing), the nurse? someone who deals with sleep apnea companies sent them a prescription for the doctor for a pressure of " 6 " . I told them that wasn't correct it was suppose to be " 7 " , but they couldn't fix it without something from the doctor's office giving them permission, aka a prescription for the doctor. I can get a new mask without a new prescription, but if I want to change mask styles, I have to have a prescription from my doctor. > I do have a college education. > I have forgotton a lot since > my college days. Also I do believe > I have fibro fog. I cant think of words > at the opportune time when I am talking. I often have fibro fog and it feels at times like my college education is slipping away! Fortunately, my husband is getting much better at translating " that thingie " while I wave my hands in the air! Darcy
