Guest guest
Dorothy - glad to hear you didn't get *poked*. I don't know what state you reside in, but here in FL, the rule of thumb seems to be to plan on two automatic denials and then a hearing before a SS Admin judge. Waste of taxpayer money and a lot of unnecessary stress for the disabled, IMHO. I have a SS Attorney and we're *still* waiting for a hearing date - Its been over two years since my original application. Guest guest
Hi, Dorothy! I just read last week, that six new judges are assigned to handle the huge back log of SS cases here in New York State. Unfortunately, not one for Rochester...we still need to travel to Buffalo. gentle hugs! Guest guest
---What do you mean poke during a ss exam. I am in ssi but it took a long time. My son n law was dying, he waited 2 years for disability, He kept getting denied. He had a quadrouple by pass, he weighed 400 pounds, he had congistive heart failure. I am so sorry to say he passed away before he got approved. He was never approved. How can they not approve someone whom is dying for social security disabilty?? I can't understand this. your truly clora > > > > > >
Guest guest
Clora - I was having a SS Medical Exam done and the " nurse " poked me in the stomach twice and said " that's why you can't breathe " - during the same exam the " doctor " had me lay on my back on one of those narrow tables and flat out refused to give me a hands up when I asked!! I've been waiting for Social Security Disability for over two years now. I can't help but feel that they do drag their feet hoping people will die off before they have to pay out any money. I'm sorry to hear about your SIL - my prayers go out to your daughter and family. I agree with Dorothy, though. Award temporary benefits until the person has completed the SS " process " . I'm sure they'd never have a " backlog " then!!
