According to this site, it seems people are just supposed to avoid all these good foods (the ones that bother them) forever. It's important to ADDRESS THE CAUSE of the malabsorption and SIBO and TREAT the gut/heal the inflammation so that these foods can be comfortably added back again. Diet is NOT the treatment for SIBO, but does play a role. That's what the LEAP protocol does, and yes, often LEAP needs to restrict excess carbs, for a time, as well.
