Congratulations on getting below 200. That's a great feeling. It's like you're

almost " home. " You can see that there really IS an end in sight and at the end,

you're thin!

Congrats . It's a milestone I'll never forget and I'll be forever grateful

for. Under 200 was my goal...and now I've far exceeded my goal.

You've done well! We're proud of you!

Thanks for the encouraging words, you're right, being under 200 at

last does make it seem as though the end is in sight (a lot less end

than there used to be!).

Thanks again,

Sue, when will you be arriving in NY? I'm looking for something to do on

Saturday- I am leaving that evening. I may be having lunch with Deb (Acer) -

's mom - but so far, I think that is all I have planned for that day.

has an appointment at the dentist and won't be up to much after that.

YEAH!!!

Well, finally, we know!! Angie & I will be going to New York to see Alyssa &

Unca Dave on the big screen in Times Square on Oct 19th. I'm just

thrilled!!!!!! We decided not to take Lyssa as we're not sure of the noise and

crowds and

how she'd react. I'm so excited!!!!!! Sue & Alyssa

We will be arriving in New York on Thursday morning and hanging out until

Monday. We will be at Time Square on Sunday morning and then off to the Buddy

Walk. I would love to meet up with all of you but I will have the whole family

and I am not sure how much fun that would be :-)

We are!!!!! Excellent news!!!!! is out of chemo for 4 years now and the doctor wants to remove her tubes (she has them implanted in her chest). I am having mixed feelings about it. At the same time I think it's good to have it removed, I'm scared to death. But anyways it's also something to celebrate with Ethan's YEAH party!!! All the best,

Simone Wheeler.

So glad to hear the good news!!! We're hoping to post some

ourselves in a week or so. Hannah goes in for a bone marrow biopsy

to check her status after what we hope was her last round of

intensification chemo. Again way to go Ethan!!!

Hey thats great Shirley! 12 pounds is a lot of weight and that is something to be proud of. A lot of people don't like weighin in but for me I love to. I do it daily. It kinda tells you where you are heading. I laid off weighing during the holidays and ended up gaining from overeating:( Keep it up and you'll reach your goal!

Sometimes in the past we have let the kids get on the scale for fun so they can see where they are... they are still so young. I said I would weigh Kaylee to see what she weighed because someone her age weighs 75 pounds and I was just going to see if Kaylee was close or where she was. You are probably right if I make a big deal about it. I am just wondering, so that is all that was. ShirleyJudy P <ygroupsjp@...> wrote: I remember the time that my mom first put me on a scale. It was like 35 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. The doctors weigh them at each visit more to make sure that they're keeping up with their age group. I would be very careful about introducing the scale, especially to a female, at such a young age. Even if she appears overweight, there are ways to work with that without starting the obsession with 'the number'. I probably missed something, so if I'm out of line, I sincerely appologize. I just cringed at the image... JudyP Kaylee is my 7 year old who will be 8 in March and I didn't get a chance to weigh her yesterday. She brought some kids home with her after school and then went to

a church function called "Kings Kids" with them and didn't get home until almost bedtime. SO I still have to do it. I think she is around 70 pounds, but I will weigh her tonight and let you know. Hello everybody!

I just HAD to come online and share my experience Saturday morning!

I participated in my first walk with the Arthritis Foundation

Saturday, May 10th in Clearwater, Florida!!! How exciting! My group

was called the ' Park Rays' (named after my school that I

work at) and I was the team captain! Together we had 21 members and

we raised $325!!! I was so happy and emotional at the same time. For

one, the fact that I went and participated in something that means

so much to me being that i have had 'Arthur' for over 3 years now

and then the fact that my co-workers actually cam ean d supported me

and the Arthritis Foundation. We had to be out of our beds at 6am in

the morning to all meet up for the walk. They could have stayed in

their beds, but they chose to come and support me. I really

appreciated that. Then, to be there with people who are dealing with

the same things I am made me feel so good. I was very excited.

I put our group picture (or attempted to) below. I am in the far

left corner. I also, included the website so you can see our team

page and possibly look into an event in your city or town. These

walks are held everywhere. If you can, see if you can walk it out

and meet new friends as well!
