Hi, I just wanted to say I'm sorry you are feeling so bad. I have had c diff due

to 4 rounds of clindamyacin because of a tooth infection as well. At that time I

was not diagnosed for my celiac disease so the pain and bathroom runs were just

another day for me. It was 2 years after the c diff was helped before I was

diagnosed so there was no difference for me for quite awhile. I sure hope you

get to feeling better soon. I know the pain is hard, especially adding it o

everything else.

I have been on Humira weekly and Methotrexate for years now, with

good results. I had a dental cleaning and exam 3 weeks ago and my

teeth were great...many compliments. 2 days later I had a huge

infection on the side of my gum, and was put on clindamyacin. After

5 days I was not better. I was then put on keflex, and had a bad

allergic reaction. I saw my pcp and was then put on erthromyacin.

But by then I had terrible diarrhea and stomach pain. The dr. did 2

tests and called me and said I have c diff

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clostridium_difficile. He put me on yet

another medication, flagyl. He hesitated to do that but feels he

cannot risk the abcess worsening with RA meds in my sytstem and their

affect on my immune system and the c diff. I am dehydrated. I have

horrible pain above my belly button which grows ubtil I cannot catch

my breath. I have been off my RA meds 4 weeks as of this next

weekend, and my hands are stiffening and my dexterity is bad. I am

feeling overwelmed.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Thanks...

Cheryle aka Tess
