SMART BALANCE BUYS UDI’S New Jersey-based Smart Balance announced over the weekend it is acquiring Denver-based Udi’s Healthy Foods for $125 million. Udi’s Foods includes 6 restaurants, along with its bakery business and catering business in the Denver area, and Smart Balance says the acquisition will enable it to offer “ the most comprehensive portfolio of gluten-free products.†-Denver Post, 06.01.12 PS.
