Does anyone know the sodium content of koshered chicken, as compared to the

sodium content of non koshered chicken?

Will soaking reduce the sodium content?

Thank you and happy new year to all,

The process of Kosher-ing meats (Chicken or red meat) requires to sprinkle

(generously!) it with Kosher salt and leave it covered with salt for 1.5-2 hrs!

that meant to drain all the blood out. After which, you would rinse the chicken

and cook it. I don't know that there are studies that actually compared the Na

after, and if anything included " soaking in water " which might help to a certain

degree, but what is that degree....that's the question I think could not be

answered. It might take some of the salt out, but given the process, I doubt the

outcome. Yet, I found something in google that would give you a hint.
