email me at patandpaula@.... I was diagnosed in January with

polymyalgia rheumatica, which is different from RA. Then around April while

trying to reduce Pred, my wrists and fingers hands started hurting and veins

were showing very bad. My doc stated he thought RA as a secondary autoimmune

disorder. I have stopped the decrease of Pred and am now on MTX also, but

wrists and fingers hurt so bad I cant even turn a doorknob or open a water

bottle. And still the swollen veins. I cant take most pain pills and am taking

too much ADVIL. a
