Guest guest
Hi wendy, It took me awhile to take the first shots on the first go around of Humira. I would have my hubby give them to me. Then when his job took him away from home, I had to step up, and get it done. I would still get nervous, and sometimes I would just stare at it for awhile. I'm on the Humira PEN now, it scares me! The med goes in real quick, and it burns! With the injection, you have control, how slowly you want the med to go in. But, I deal with it, for now. It sounds like the med is starting to work for you. Good news, so glad for you! That is how it started for me, when I first started it the first time. It had me doing all kinds of chores, and having fun too. My RA is severe, so I don't have many good days right now. But, I'm still going, just slowly. I could be much worse, so I'm thankful for the med. You are a inspiration to all of us. To hear something positive, is all we need, once in awhile. You are a working mom, and I'm so proud of you, for being you. Your son is very lucky, You keep us posted, Tawny > > Hi all, > I dont write on here much but just wanted everyone to know who is > thinking about starting Humira that I took my second shot last Thursday > and I still have pain but I feel like Ive been having more energy and > not just wanting to come home and lay down..Im taking this as a sign > that it is working and am very excited. Guest guest
and group; Hi , I started Humira injections over 2 weeks ago, and within 12 hours I felt much relief from my RA. I heard it don't help some people. Maybe the enbrel would be better for you. I never had any problems taking shots. I guess I am lucky that way. I love shots. I know isn't that weird of me haaaaaaaaaa. I know I say this a lot. I can't imagine raising a child while having RA. I notice people are able to cope and find ways to rest with kids. My kids are in their 30s. YOur son is an adorable age. THey seem to grow fast after they hit 13. I hope you find the right meds for your pain gentle kind hugs Clora > Hi all, > I dont write on here much but just wanted everyone to know who is > thinking about starting Humira that I took my second shot last Thursday > and I still have pain but I feel like Ive been having more energy and > not just wanting to come home and lay down..Im taking this as a sign > that it is working and am very excited. Guest guest
, I am so glad you are doing better. I have heard many good things about Humira. Yes, let us know how you are doing. We don't always know when a contribution helps someone, but if it helps or comforts one person, that is the power of the internet. I think all of us were scared when we were diagnosed. This place made me much more comfortable about it.
