Hi,

I called the rheumy's office, just waiting for them to call me back.

They need to give me a referral for the pulmonary doctor, the real

kicker, I can't get in until Nov, great huh?

I'm very sick today, really weak. I was doing research on the

internet, and found pulmonary fibrosis, its a autoimmune disorder.

People with RA can also have this disease, I didn't know that.

I will let you know when I hear from the rheumy's office. I don't

know what I will do if I have to go off the RA meds until Nov. But,

please send good vibes and prayers my way. I hope everyone is having a

better day, then me, Tawny

Tawny,

November is a long time to wait with all of the issues you are having.

Could you check with your rheummy or gp and see if they will call and

get you in sooner?

I have known of many times this has worked.

You have my good vibes and prayers.

Aw, Tawny. I am so sorry to hear about all of this wait, wait, wait.

If you don't hear back from your Rheumy and you can't get in to the

pulmonary doc until NOV, I think you should go to the ER. This RA

makes us feel bad enough as it is without all of these symptoms on top

and your symptoms are sounding more like an emergency situation.

I've read about the pulmonary fibrosis and was disheartened to read

how that is connected to RA too. I've already been told I have mild

pulmonary hypertension as it is - now I am wondering if it is caused

by the pulmonary fibrosis. I tell ya' if its not one thing, its another.

Please don't delay getting medical attention for yourself and please

keep us posted. You are in my thoughts and prayers......Doreen :)

Tawny, I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. I hope that you don't

have pulmonary fibrosis. My aunt had it. I didn't realize that it was

an autoimmune disorder.

I wish you could get in to the pulmonologist sooner. Can you ask them

to call you if they have a cancellation?

Sue,

The receptionist did tell me she would call me if someone canceled.

I will ask my rheumy, to find out if I can get in earlier. I had no

idea it was a autoimmune disorder.

I'm sorry about your aunt. Did she have RA too? Just trying to get

my thoughts together tonight, a lot to think about.

Hope you have a good night, Tawny

Doreen,

I have thought about going to the ER. I'm sure the rheumy will call

tomorrow. If not, I'll call them again. I could get my GP doctor to

send the referral, probably get it done a lot faster.

You need to take care of yourself, pulmonary hypertension isn't

something to laugh about. This is scary stuff! I don't know much,

will keep reading online. I need to know a little about all this,

before my doctor appointment, right? I hate it when I have no idea

what the doctor is talking about.

I will keep you, and the group posted. Will go to the ER if I get

worse. Were all in this together, T

My aunt who had pulmonary fibrosis did not have RA. Her sister did,

however. These were my mother's sisters. The daughter of one of her

other sisters has RA, plus scleraderma and a host of other autoimmune

diseases. I don't know which one of our ancestors passed down to us

this propensity to get autoimmune diseases.

I do hope you can get in to see the doctor sooner. If not, maybe you

should go to the ER. Hope you get better.
