Guest guest
Hi all, I have been asked to correct the menu for a county jail. I am using the 2010 Dietary Guidelines as my standard. I have found that some days on the menu are low in protein, however, they have 8oz of milk at most meals. My question is, can I count milk as dairy and protein? The Dietary Guidelines count milk as dairy. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!
Guest guest
I would definitely account for the protein in milk as part of the protein offered in that meal.
