Doreen,

I'm so very sorry, you are experiencing shortness of breath. It is

something, that needs to be dealt with. I started having problems

two years ago. My doctor told me I had bronchitis, and sent me home

with antibiotics and two inhalers. Which the inhalers had my blood

pressure sky high! Then, I got a little better, and then started

having problems again. The doctor sent me for a chest x-ray, which I

had pneumonia. So, back on the antibiotics and inhalers. I have

mentioned the problem, several times, she now tells me I have sinus

problems, I need to take OTC meds for sinus.

I am glad someone can understand how its hard to just go from one

room, to the next, and out of breath. I can talk on the phone, and I

get out of breath, and can't talk. Then I start coughing.

No Doreen, I don't believe its your weight! Not when your on all the

meds, and RA there are risks with your lungs. I'm so sorry you don't

have insurance. Is there anyway you can get help from Medicaid? My

heart goes out to you.

Do you also have weakness? It is hard to really explain my symptoms,

I'm just so bad off, I can't hardly walk, or do anything. To put my

clothes on, is a chore. I usually stay in my pj's.

I hope there is a way, somehow to get you to a good doctor. Don't

put it off too long. I sure have. I will keep you in my prayers,

hope you don't mind. I know we all have different religions, so I

don't want to step on toes. But, you need some help so badly.

You take care, and know you can email me anytime, if you just want to

chat. gentle hugs, Tawny

Thank you so much Tawny. I am a Christian, so I believe that God does

answer prayers and I also know that by His stripes we are healed -

whether it be in our timing or His, is totally up to Him. But, I know

that He is with me and for that I am grateful.

I have what they call " Medically Needy Share of Cost " . Basically its

a form of Medicaid, but not until after I have racked up $3100 in one

month of medical bills which will cover an emergency situation only. I

took the COBRA option for 18 months after I quit my job in February

2005 and when it ran out at the end of August 2006, I had pretty much

found out I was uninsurable and could not afford the premiums for

those companies that would even consider taking me on (with

pre-existing condition clauses). Then I got pneumonia and ended up in

the hospital for 4 days in the beginning of September. That's how I

ended up finding out we qualified for the share of cost program.

I have applied for SSD and just waiting for a hearing date and praying

that I will be approved. At least I will have Medicare then and can

maybe get some better RA meds that will put me into remission once and

for all (if its not too late by then).

When were you diagnosed with the pneumonia? From what I am reading, it

sounds like your pneumonia is still there. I do have weakness and I am

tired all of the time, but I don't have the cough like you do. It

really sounds like you should be in the hospital, Tawny. It doesn't

sound like your pneumonia is totally cleared up and if the doctors

keep hem-hawing around, it is only making you worse. If you go to the

ER, then they can do another chest X-ray and see if its still there.

When I was in the hospital with pneumonia, I was on two IV

antibiotics, an IV steroid and breathing treatments several times a

day. That's what it took to finally knock it out of me.

Please take care, dear one. I am seriously worried about

you.......Doreen :)

Doreen,

I pray you will hear from SSD soon, and you will be approved. I know

how hard it is to wait, when you have so many health problems. I'm

pretty sure the pneumonia was in 07. I will find out something

tomorrow. The rheumy might want me to come in. They can do a chest

x-ray right in the office. They can at least tell me something.

They are really good at getting the job done, and usually always call

me the same day when I call in. I'm wondering if the office lady

gave them the message, wires get crossed sometimes. I will call them

back in the morning. I'll let you know tomorrow, Tawny
