Nutrition Clinic Schedules

Would like to hear especially from anyone in VA settings... My work in VA

Community Based Outpatient Clinics is under a contract company and from the

start I was told I would see new patients in a 40 min time slot and follow

up patients in 20 minutes. I asked for 60 min and 30 min but my request was

refused by management. I was told if I wanted I could have a schedule of 30

min for every patient new or follow up. I have lived with the schedule but

it seems to be more challenging recently. In the past I was able to juggle

the day with some open appts and no shows, but that doesn't seem to be the

case anymore. BTW the hospital outpatient clinics use a 60 min/30 min

schedule.

I am starting to consider a change of employment. Any encouragement or tips

for approaching management again is welcome.
