Hi,

I am 27 y/o male with chronic wrist, lft hip and right lower back

pain. I have had multiple MRI's, Xrays, blood work done that have

shown nothing. No MD has been able to pinpoint my painsource. I've

tried Acupuncture, DC, MT with no luck. I was a college athlete (was in

great shape, still in decent shape) and have no family history with

joint/muscle/tendion pain.

My pain feels like when you strain a ligament/tendion but never goes

away.

Anyone similiar, and/or have any advice?

thanks

Hello! Have you seen a rheumatologist? I was wondering perhaps if they looked

for Fibromyalgia which won't show up on any xrays or blood work but on patient

history of symptoms and trigger points? RA is symmetrical where it affects both

parts of the body..yet it is possible to test seronegative as many of us have.

I'm not sure how long your pain has gone on.  Mine began in one knee but then

the other knee followed less than a year later and now they both swell and get

warm with some slight inflammation.

Do those MD's you've been to include a rheumatologist? They are best

equipped to make a diagnosis for symptoms like yours. I have rheumatoid

arthritis, but I've also been having flareups of pain in my left hip.

It goes away and sometimes stays away for a month or two. My rheumy

said that it was probably osteoarthritis in my spine, because the spine

has no synovial fluid except in the neck portion. So far it hasn't been

x-rayed or anything.

There is an autoimmune disease that affects the spine. It's ankylosing

spondylitis. My grandson's stepdad has it. He had low back pain for

years before he was finally diagnosed.
