Guest guest
HI Barbara! I have percocet, but it makes me itchy and then I get such a headache from it. When my hips hurt like this my old rheumy told me to just really rest, and try to stay still, which is really next to impossible for me. It has been so humid here and that's been part of the problem. Haven't really had any decent weather, so many thunder storms. Hopefully, by the time you get here, it will be nice! The rheumy I'm going to see has no appointments earlier than when I'm seeing her. It's ok, I'll live. I have a physiatrist I can see if I need hip shots or anything, plus I'm going to physical therapy as well. All this while trying to find a job that I can handle or a job that can handle me. Heidi Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it would be easy. How else could you get any rest! It is good the Tramadol works for you along with the Lorazepam. I have only taken Tramadol for pain at times, but I do the best on Tylenol/codeine # 3. Like you said, everyone has to find the meds. that work best for them. Trial and error. I can't take Holistic stuff either. Too many allergies, etc. Are you in another flare-up since last we talked? It seems like a long time to wait to see your Rheumy on the 30th. Do you think if you called him/her to see if they can order something stronger for you, or get an earlier appt., and perhaps get a steroid shot to ease things up a bit? Crappy to suffer like that. I pray you will feel better soon..... P.S. I am going home to Mass./ Cape Cod from Aug. 2-28th. I am praying my RA is good while at home. Everytime I have gone home, I got URI's, Asthma, bad flare-ups, and in bed for 1 week. I am trying summertime this time!! God Bless you Heidi, and I am praying that you will have pain free days soon. You certainly need them. Take care of yourself. Guest guest
Happy 4th of July! I have been on Tramadol for at least a year and it helps make me drowsy. Also do take 3mg Melatonin most nights and also drink chamomile tea which helps, too. Might try the Tylenol Arthritis for my joint pain. My rheum also gave me amitriptyline to help me sleep. Right now take 30mg of it since 40mg makes me dizzy.
