Guest guest
Hi all, a friend of mine has the following client that is looking for a RD in the area. Please email me with your contact info. Thanks So my client lives down in Tequesta, FL 33469 (which is the next town over from Jupiter FL). Her 94 year old Mom has recently been diagnosed with H-pylori & severe gastritis. Her Doctor has prescribed her Aciphex as well as a little slurry that she gives her each night to help her stomach heel. What my client is looking for is a Dietician near her that she can go and visit and correspond with about how to prepare an eating regime that she can put her Mom on going forward, both during the heeling process and once she's recovered. She would prefer not to have to drag her Mom out of the house for these visits, so she expects the relationship will be just with her and the dietician (don't know if that's possible). She's happy to pay privately, so money's not really an issue here.  Loew, MS, MA, RD, LD 23 Stiles Rd Suite 213 Salem, NH 03079 P: ext 2 F: jeloew@... Subject: Private Practice To: rd-usa Date: Tuesday, June 12, 2012, 10:37 PM  Hello all, I am considering starting a private practice out of my home. My house is set up perfectly for a private office. I live in a rural area, though. I am trying to figure out what would be reasonable to charge for an initial assessment and a follow up. I am not going to accept insurance at this point. I just want to see if I can get something off the ground. I am concerned that not many people in my area could afford to pay out of pocket, but I don't want to charge too little. Any suggestions? Any marketing suggestions? I have a few thoughts already, but anyone who is already doing this may have some good insight. I know I will have to renew my malpractice insurance and will have to pay taxes, but what else should I take into consideration? Thank you in advance for any suggestions! In good health, RD, LD
