Guest guest
I would probably wait a few days after your procedure before taking the pred, but that's just me. -- Dodge " I make the living, my dog makes the living worthwhile. Is there a risk associated with taking a steroid and having dental work? I know that my wife who has a mitral valve prolapse has to take an antibiotic every time she goes to the dentist due to the risk of developing pericarditis. Just wondering the the protocol is with taking steroids and having dental work done. Advise would be appreciated. Thanks. Bob
Guest guest
Hi Bob, If I were you, I'd just double check with the dentist and Rheumatologist first. It can't hurt to ask. I suspect that could be a few weeks. First visit for the cleaning, then set up the appointments for the crown work. Not sure I can wait that long. Maybe better to put off the dental work for now. Guest guest
Hi Lori, Yes, I made a mental note to call the dentist firsst thing in the morning. A call to the Rheummy probably makes sense too. Thanks. Bob > > Hi Bob, > If I were you, I'd just double check with the dentist and Rheumatologist first.
