Guest guest
The leave is covered under the family medical leave act. If your company has a short-term disability benefit you should be eligible for it. The thing about the law, is that they guarantee you will be allowed the time off. It depends on your company whether and how much you get paid while you are off. I didn't have any trouble with mine. there is just a little paperwork I had to fill out, then send to my dr and he sent it back to the company. It was fairly painless. I told my dr I didn't think I could take 2 months off of work, so he suggested that I take at least 2 weeks to see how I reacted to the treatment. I told my manager this exactly and she told me to take the full 2 months and then I could always come back sooner if I felt up to it. Some people just don't respond to the treatment, but I'm sure there are many who don't comply, or are using or drinking that probably skew the odds of success somewhat. I believe that if you give yourself every chance, by sticking to the regimen, taking care of yourself, avoid alcohol, your chances will be much greater than those advertised. -dz- <chrissea10@...> wrote: Thanks for responding about my stupid coworker and my upcoming treatment. Sharon, I was laughing at your comment about your coworker at the dental office. It's a shame, people are that dumb. My coworker went off again today about her brother in law. It's almost a daily thing. I know I should ignore her and most of the time I just get up and walk away but one of these days I am going to go off.Anyway, I am going to try to find out about short term disability just for a few weeks. My boss has been really great about all of this, I am just wondering if the short term covers this??? My doctor said he will sign anything if I want to take the first couple months off. So that's good.Ester, I hope your mother is doing well and thank you for your prayers. I plan on never missing a dose or shot or whatever else. There has to be a reason why some people respond and others don't, right?.Oh well, back to work again. Chris

Guest guest
, Your husband was right, you did not owe anyone an explanation, next time it happens and someone asks why you are on the scooter, tell them first answer your question of " how come you are so ugly " That is generally what shuts em up. I know that sounds mean but really NO ONE has the right to question you. Guest guest
Hi : Wonderful you got your Scooter, and now can go out and have some fun! I am so happy for you. Yes, there are rude and ignorant people out there, unfortunately. Last year I was flying home and my RA was so bad, I needed a wheelchair. Boy, the looks I got were just awful. Some people just don't get it, and they never will. Enjoy your new freedom! Wishing you pain free days. Guest guest
My thing is, " do I know you? " (the response is, of course, no.) " HA! And people say there is no God. " Which they are almost invariably too stupid to get. But I guess there really is no point in having a battle of wits with an unarmed person, no? > > >Â Hi everyone, I just needed to vent. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for your comments. I guess I need to come up with some great come backs, I am sure this will not be the last time I encounter this kind of thing. Last April we went to Disney and I was in a wheel chair and only had good experiences. The employees at Disney bend over backwards to help you out. Too bad the rest of the world can't be like that... Hope you all are enjoying a pain free day > > Hi : > Wonderful you got your Scooter, and now can go out and have some fun! Guest guest
The man in the flea market definatly needed to be run over by you in your new chair.!... " officer the chair is new, and it just got away from me. I don't know how this happened, sir! " I have a friend who when anyone asks a question that really is none of their business or in bad taste... like " Why are you in the wheel chair? " ...(if I wanted everyone to know I would put a sign on it!AS*****!)...any way when people asked her..she would always reply with " Why do you want to know? " THat would really shut them up and it made them look like they were out of line...which they were!...and its not rude so you aren't stooping to their level!... But I really think that running him over with the chair would be very tenpting! Especially if he was the umpteenth person to ask!...jenna in the mountains of NC, where the spring flowers and trees are all in bloom. mtdreamspinner.wordpress.com Plying in the Woolpile
Guest guest
That reminds me of that commercial where a man is buffing, and another man says something, and he starts buffing him. LOL. Guest guest
I would pay hard cash to see that! Of course someone would have to pick me up after I finished ROTFLMAO at the guy! I guess it would be a dead giveaway if you backed up and ran over the guy again, wouldn't it..... > > The man in the flea market definatly needed to be run over by you in your new chair.!...
