Guest guest
and group; ouch gout is so painful one cant even put a blanket on it I have heard. Hmmmm so it wasnt gout. Does draining your knees feel real painful?? Daignosed with gout again I see. I am so sorry your having so much pain. I never realized so many people was suffering from RA till I joined our group. you sound like a very strong person to have dealed with this pain as long as you have. I didnt really care to join a support group myself but I begin to become desperate to know what was going on with me. The enternet seem to say the same thing over and over, only doctors would be able to understand. I have learned more through our support group than from anywhere else. I am so glad I did join. I don't understand a lot of the RA lingo, but I am now. RA ratio I dont understand, but I am asking my rheumy what mine is next time. I am truly sorry you had a swelled knee on the day of your vacation, omg what a disaster for you. Humira is great for me. I was amazed how the RA pain disappeared in 12 hours or so. I have been on plaqunil and sulfazaline for months and my RA became worse. Others said it help them a lot. So it seems to depend on the person. I too am a diabetic type 2. I have many other health problems but the RA was the worse for me to live with. If I could move around and lose weight my other health problems would improve much. Laying in bed with to much pain to move was not helping me at all. After I joined this group, I knew there was other meds to help me with the RA, so I got my rhuemy to get more agressive with it. I don't know how my post was encouraging but I am so glad they are. Sometimes I think I text way to much. our moderator said long post are welcome so I continue to post long post. It is much easier to read long post if we make paragraphs. Reading long post with out paragraphs makes me see double haaaaaaaaa, I dont know where to separate for paragraphs so I take an educated guess haaaaaaaa. and group, My pain has been so bad I didnt care if my doctor gave me arsnic, I would have taken it. I watch for side affects, remember everyone don't have the side affects listed, and some side affects are rare. I can't take MXT cause it breaks me out in hives. Here is some good advice for everyone. Check your dose carefully on all your meds. I just found out yesterday my sulfazaline said 2 tablets twice a day. I been taking one twice a day. I need to use my reading glasses when reading my dosage also. My husband enjects my humira. He read and watched the dvd on it very carefully and made me watch and read too haaaaaaaa. I am so bad sometimes. The group told me to let my humira warm up for about an half hour and it wont burn when taking the injection. They was right it worked. I have no problem taking injections, after I had kids I love shots haaaaaaaa. I read all the post, I redflag the ones I need to answer, and the next day I answer all the redflags. Sometimes I answer guickly when necessary. I answer all post directed to me. Its my excuse to make my long post haaaaaaaaaa. Sometimes someone touches me deeply and have to comment on their post even if it wasnt commented to me. When I first started the group I was overwhelmed with the posts than some one told me we dont have to answer all the posts. After that the reading and posting went pretty smoothly. I hope you enjoy the group as much as I do. I feel this group is a God send. THrough this group I am improving so much. I love everyone here. I get up evermoring after breckfast I run to start my reading and posting for our wonderful friends here. God bless and take care and group. gentle kind hugs everyone Clora > Hello all > I have never been one to sign up for groups but my wife Elena has been reading all your emails to me and it is encouraging to here your posts. I originally was diagnosed with gout in my right knee about four years ago. I eventually wound up at a Rheumatologist because the swelling would not go down. My Dr drained my knee several times and treated me with steroids and ibuprofen. eventually
