I would encourage you to persevere for a few weeks: ask your pharmacist for

an anti-nausea pill (I take domperodone) and of course, take your folic

acid.

I always feel sick after the first few mtx doses and then it disappears.

There's no point in taking a half dose (of 12.5 mg) as the lowest effective

dose is 7.5mg. Remember the mtx takes at least a few weeks to take effect,

but if it does work it will be worth it...

you could also try taking it by injection. many ppl that feel ill from

it feel much better if it bypasses stomach by going thru injection

straight into bloodstream.

also folinic acid is DIFFERENT than folic acid. taking BOTH when you

have side effects to mtx can be very helpful.

I just don't think I am going to take the drug again and will have to

move on to something else. For some reason this drug gives me

terrible anxiety and that is something I can't handle. I am not

talking about just a little anxiety. I have no idea why but that and

the sickness make me crazy. Can't take care of the kids like that.

I really wish it would have worked for me since it did take my pain

away within a day or so.

Sorry your not able to take the mtx. The doctor will find something

else that will work for you. So, don't give up. Tawny
