Effects of Enbrel lasting only 5 days

I don't know if this has been discussed here before but I wonder if

others or are using Enbrel or the like aren't making (getting relief)

for a full 7 days. I have been on Enbrel just over a year and the last

few weeks I have noticed that 2 days before I am due for my injection,

my most involved joint, my left hip, become painful and I have pain and

limp for two days. I take my injections Tuesday morning around 7am.

My joint pain is usally gone when I wake up on Wednesday morning. By

the following Sunday or Monday, my hip is killing me. For the first

year, this was not the case so I wonder if I am developing antibodies

that are rendering the Enbrel less and less effective as time goes on.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this considered therapeutic

failure? Is it time to change drugs? ...Add MTX?

Any thoughts or hearing about your experience would be much appreciated.

are you taking 50 mg? why not take 2 25 mg shots a week. my friend does

this.
